Norristown PAL wrestling team hosts event

The Norristown Police Athletic League wrestling team opened its doors to Wrestling Youth Club from North Bergen, N.J.
The coaches, parents and children of North Bergen traveled two hours south on I-95 to spend a day of sportsmanship, competition, but most importantly in partnership with a distant youth group, to expose the boys and girls to a unique experience. One of the children, Jack Pinto, of Sandy Hook Elementary, was a wrestler and the teams were able to set aside some time to wrestle without a moment of worry.
The day began at 8 a.m. and ran until 1 p.m. The event has been names the 1st Annual Battle for I-95. Next year, the PAL is hoping through support that it will be able to travel to New Jersey for the second annual event.
Over 60 children participated, approximately 20 from the Greater Norristown Area.
