Ambler Whitpain Trojans cheer squad ends winning season

The Ambler Whitpain Trojans Competition Cheer Squad has ended another fun and winning season.
“The girls worked very hard this year and it paid off,” notes press information.
Last month they competed at the Plymouth Whitemarsh Cheer Classic held at the Colonial Elementary School, where the squad placed first runner up.
In addition, the team entered three girls into the All American judging: Juliana Boggs, Danielle Ryan and Karena Scarlett.
These girls were evaluated on an individual basis for their precision, spirit and overall cheerleading ability against other All Americans who performed that day at that competition.
Ambler Whitpain Trojans took three of five of the medals given. Juliana Boggs took third place and Karena Scarlett and Danielle Ryan tied for second place.
Also last month, the girls competed at Upper Dublin High School and placed third out of the five top teams in their category.

Hatfield Ice Dogs

The Hatfield Ice Dogs Midget 16AA Blue Ice Hockey team traveled to Canada Jan 12th-15th to compete in the International Silver Sticks 26th Annual Ice Hockey Tournament. In order to participate in this tournament you had to win the regional SS tournament that was held in Sept.at Ice Line in West Chester. As the Eastern Region representative winners we earned the opportunity to participate. The Ice Dogs won 6 straight games including an overtime triller in the Championship game to hoist the “Silver Stick.” The team defeated Arvada Storm (CO) 4-0, Toledo Cherokee(OH) 5-2, Stonycreek Warriors(Ontario) 7-1, in the preliminary round. The elimination rounds saw victories over Orlando Jr. Knights (FL) 6-2 and Farmington Hills Fire(MI) 5-2. This takes us to the final game where we played the Oakland Jr. Grizzlies, another team from Michigan and won in overtime 2-1. It was an exhilarating game for all. The Silver Stick trophy will be placed in the Hockey Hall of Fame in Canada with our names on it as the 2012 Midget 16AA Minor SS Champions. Congratulations to all the boys for the great job they did. We are all proud of you!!!
